Maintaining your carpets & upholstery

Your carpets and upholstery, if not cleaned or dried properly, all these natural textiles are prone to shrinkage, browning or yellowing. The procedure should be frequent, light, low moisture steam extractions with fans moved around for drying while being serviced. The reason for more frequent light cleanings is to prevent the technician from using to much water. The carpet or upholstery should never be shampooed as this will leave soap residue and possibly over wet the textiles.

In addition, spots should not be touched by employees or staff as the stains will be prone to “setting”. Simply blot any wet stain up immediately and efficiently without aggressively rubbing! Petroleum based stains (ex. shoe polish, grease, tar, makeup) should not be touched or dried as they will just smear and get larger. Professional service will be able to remove these easily and effectively with light applications of a solvent. Any questions my cell is 24 hours a day!
